I was hoping for a" Black" Blue Laced Red Roo (Looks like a Gold Laced but carries the Blue gene) to breed to my Splash pullets to get all Blue babies but no such luck

I just wanted to point out (if you didn't already know it) that a bird can't CARRY the blue gene. Due to blue being dominant to black it is blue (or splash if it gets two blue genes) or it is not. Any bird "looking like a Gold Laced" can't carry the blue gene.

Unless you meant Lavender - but that's a whole other kettle of fish.

Just to further clarify BCBrian's explanation, a blrw can carry one copy of the co-dominant blue andalusian gene, but then it appears as a "blue" phenotype. It can also carry 2 copies of the gene which is expressed as "Splash". The black laced phenotype does not carry the blue andalusian gene. Some people find black laced very useful in their breeding program, so they can have value. In essence, the black lace is the same as a golden lace. Some lines simply have a more reddish look to the gold pattern.

Thanks BCBrian and McSpin - so it is kind of like the Punnett square ? Both the blue and black are dominant genes so both cannot be expressed at the same time? I think I remember that from waaayyyy back in biology class

According to www.bluelacedred.com... a "black" can be bred to a "splash" and will result in 100% "blue". They even have the photos of "black" blr that LOOK like gold laced.
