My pastor and his wife Facebook each other.....from the same couch! they are in their mid 40s!

I have been in the bed before and called Jerry on his cell phone so I don't yell down the hall and wake the kids. I am usually stuck laying with the baby and if I move he will wake up.

Our Wyandottes do not like snow.....they will stay in their chicken house all day long if there is snow on the ground. We have to take water out of the heated dish and put a little in the house with them. They are acting like silkies.....(no offence, I like silkies)

mrs turbo do you leave the water dish outside the coop or in it?

We put them all outside because you don't want a lot of moisture in the coop to cause frostbite.

Is white under color in black laced red males a fault as well?

A black laced red would look just like a darker red GLW, so I would follow the APA standard on GLW. My standard is at work...

Is the white under color in the hackles only, or all over.

The white fluff is at the base of his tail. (My SOP is "in the mail")

In Gold Laced Wyandottes the standard calls for the under color to be slate colored shading to red at the base...so white fluff at the base of the tail would be a fault.

Good news this week as I have hatched out 2 White Laced Red chicks out of my last two surviving hens. They are large old hens(for bantams) and the rooster I have with them is kind of small so relieved that he is able to get the job done. Hopefully can continue to hatch out a few chicks each week so I can have some numbers to choose from next year. If you dont know what a WLR chick looks like, they are yellow with a dark red spot usually on the top of their head.
Hatching out lots of Wyandotte bantams so far. A good thing until we are over run with them!!

I'm so glad that's you and not me... Hatch lots of Partridge! I'm very sure I finally figured my rooster out. First very successful AI was yesterday. I think I'll have chicks by the end of the month!

Sam Brush posted on another forum yesterday that the SOP is on a boat stuck in a river of ice headed to the Port of Pittsburgh! If they will tell us where the boat is, surely someone can snowshoe or ski and get them!
