Plus, I have to pay for stamps, I just hatch the chickens. And you can't just tell a chicken that he needs to go to New York because somebody there wants him...

I've never eaten a stamp in my life, but chickens on the other hand...

One thing is for sure, if chickens were like stamps, I'd have to pay a lot less to raise them and there would never be any culling involved.

BBR is red duckwing, partridge is not the same, male partridge look very similar to duckwing males but the females lack the salmon breast. partridge with the addition of Pg is patterned partridge. Could you post pictures of your Partridge Wyandottes?

I think that you could say that Partridge without pattern is brown (see dark brown leghorns, brown cochins, etc.). All Partridge carry the brown gene and the pattern gene. When you take the Pattern gene away, you are left with brown only. I sometimes wonder if some of my cochin hens are heterozygous for the pattern gene because they show very little penciling over the back, but plenty in the breast. See pic:

Brown Leghorns are red duckwing, not partridge. They are called brown but they are actually red duckwing. There are 5 base colors: duckwing, extended black, gold birchen, wheaten, and brown(unpattered partridge but not duckwing).

I'll give you the good points and the bad, in my opinion

Good: lacing seems to be pretty good
nice leg color on the hen
comb points pretty decent

Bad: Can't tell hardly anything about type with this pic Sorry, I keep getting errors when I try to load pictures.
Male has large wattles I never noticed that...

Is his left foot crooked? or just standing like that?
Just standing like that. When my kids do that I ask if they need to go to the bathroom

One thing you might be able to do is use cardboard of something like it to keep the draft from coming up through the wire.

Yeah, that's a quarantine pen, and they are in a building... but the weather here STINKS! and I am oh, so ready for spring! I don't like to keep chickens on wire... I want them to be able to scratch in the dirt. Of course, the dirt is burried under several inches of ice!

ETA Thanks, I appreciate the input.

Space, yes we have woods and rolling hills here in Kentucky. We are truly lucky in that regard.
Time? LOL! I work nights at the Toyota factory which builds Camrys, Avalons, etc. I get home at 4:00am. Just in time for the birds' lights to come on. I'm used to watering from the pump in the middle of the night in 20 degree weather. I wake in time to water and gather eggs. Ahh, the chicken life.
However, you are spot on when it comes to many Americans' leisure time. We think it's our constitutional right to have a weekend full of sports and restaurants...not that I'm complaining!

Wipe that smug look off your face! It's just a matter of time before you catch it, too.

.....and when you do, we are going to rub it in, big time!!

Are you talking about light browns and dark browns? I'm sure that they are different.
