the show quality doesn't make them more gentle, it's that bird or lines' temperment.
an old chicken breeder told me something yesterday.
it takes years breeding to develope a good quality bird but only one generation to get bad temperment.
my own blue laced reds, which are not show quality (none are yet) and I've bred for years, are very nice, calm, freindly birds, my whites that are show quality, have a very different temperment and maybe that's what makes them show better, who knows..

My partner is going to have some Black,Blue,Splash eggs up for auction on featherauction.com in the next week or so.
I think she is going to put some LF Silver Laced up for auction as well.

Sweet, I'll be bidding as long as the price is in my budget.

Gorgeous! Where di u get them?

I've been breeding for 5 years now, so I guess the line is mine.
I started out with 3 different lines and over the years combined them. My flock has been closed since then. I prefer to work with what I have instead of bringing in something I would not like.

I have color pretty well down, and type gets better every year. Right now, they are stuck in the barn, but as soon as I can get them outside, I will post some pics of the roosters.

I managed to get outside and take a picture of our 2010 Blue Wyandotte cockerel in the breeding pen. I didn't take any pictures of the hens because they are in the breeding pens too and lets just say that every egg has been fertile....LOL We do have some hens pictured on our website though.
