just shipped two boxes of 8 this morning. We use the heat packs and alter the box a little and we did some test runs last year. The chicks did very well.

I did it, I put the 6 blrw chicks outside in the coop! They are under a heat lamp and its draft free and they were dust bathing in the shavings..lol
Im going to be nervous for a couple nights but hoping they do ok. Pictures to follow

how long do i have to separate the different breeds/colors to be safe that ill get the right colors?

I usually wait 2 weeks before I start saving eggs from a new breeding pen..

I have had mixed chicks hatch after 7 weeks of being separated...

I've never mix breeds since then.
