The Wyandotte Thread

They might be trying to establish pecking order but it could just be a nasty rooster. I don't keep ones that are mean to the other birds... don't want nasty babies.
Question: I have 4 5 1/2mo. olds- 1 GLW pullet, 1 BLRW pullet, 1 BLW roo & 1 BLRW roo. the big black boy is beating up on the other roo.

I acquired 5 "rescue" White Rock hens that I plan on putting in with the Wyandottes. Will that help or hurt matters between the 2 roo's?

Oh, wow! I just got a one year old hen and she hasn't laid since I got her. I got her on the 24th of October. I've heard sometimes hens stop laying when they move to a new home. Or maybe she needs some more hours of day light?

I LOVE that Salmon Roo!!!

Managed to take a couple of shots of our Salmon Wyandotte and Splash red laced? I just love this breed!

Our Roo. :)

One of his hens :)

The salmons taken earlier this year, just love these gorls they make me think of French Can Can ladies with their frilly frocks :)

and the salmon Roo with his ladies...

he's beautiful! I'm looking for a show quality breeder and I'm wondering how much it costs to ship pullets because I want to make sure I get all hens. I already have a roo and hen I bought from a show breeder at a show, and I would like more eggs! Even though I am not going to get into showing right now (I want to learn how to take care of them, etc. I don't want to purchase hens from a hatchery if they won't even have the correct combs or markings for the breed). I love how docile mine are and if shipping them after they have been sexed isn't too expensive that's fantastic!

any show breeders that do that please message me!!!!
