Ow. That's bad. I've got a Buff Brahma when it was supposed to be an EE, a Jersey Giant when it was supposed to be an Australorp, and some Tetra Tints when they were supposed to be Jesry Giants. I guess messups happen. But a dead Cochin? I hope that they either refunded you or replaced it with what it was supposed to be, a SS!
