My chickens have gone off into three groups. The outcasts took over the orchard, the leghorn rooster Moses has taken his ladies to our front yard/property and then the other leghorn rooster is trying to steal as many ladies as he can tempt. lol

In all of this, a little sebright rooster has claimed our curs doghouse and the dog lot as his territory. He tries so hard to call ladies down there!

That cur killed one of my leghorn roos and this stupid sebright is IN the doghouse with him!

I guess being beaten over the head with a dead rooster and shocked made him think twice about killing another one. I told my husband that if he kills the sebright, that he was not to get too mad. That stupid bird is basically tempting death, everyday.

And then there is chocolate. Nobody loves chocolate but us and Bella Blue, our pompoo. He used to hang out with Lady, the RIR that was mauled by a cat but I guess they "grew apart", lol.

And that brings me to Lady, she is part of the outcasts and hasn't grown so much as an inch since was mauled all those weeks ago. What gives? She looks like a bantam (she is not). She seems fine other than a slight limp. Maybe she needs more food. She eats fallen apples, pears, berries and other fruit all day long. There's also the weeds, bugs, grass seed and all that wild stuff.

I should get pictures but it is lightening, LOL.

I love chickens.
