I am so happy! Our neighbour is getting chickens. They only want adults because they don't want to get all the chick equipment. But since we have the equipment, they are having me raise them! So I get to choose the chicks, and raise them until they are ready to go outside, and then they get them. They will pay me for the food and chicks, so that is fine. It's really exciting.

Hey! That is so awesome! I remember my first time raising chicks. The hardest part was telling the genders, but they sure were so much fun. We just got more in a few weeks back. XD I hope you have fun with yours!

Yeah, I thought this was going to be the first year after the last couple that I wouldn't have chicks. Not this year though! The gender part always stresses me out too.

Two years was our first too! We only got them last year because a different neighbors dog killed 4/7 of our hens. That actually happened exactly one year ago today. I am just asking around the chicken community here for who has chicks. We will see what breeds we end up with.
