One of the chicks pipped but his/her foot is way too high up in the shell, and is sticking through the pip. The chick is trying to zip but his/her foot is in the way and he/she is stuck. If he/she doesn't get out by tomorrow I might have to do an assisted hatch. :S

Okay. First update: doing great! I helped him out a little and he got himself out but his navel hadn't closed. I treated it with iodine and his (I sexed him) navel is closing fine with no sign of infection.
No, this is my 6th-ish hatch(?).

I need a rooster! My family doesn't want one, but I'm hoping the feed store messed up with my current chicks and gave me a cockerel! The feed store messed up once before, the rooster was skittish (to us) and was beating up on one of the SLW (silver laced wyandotte) so we got rid of him I would love to hatch chicks though, we hatched one once, that was with the old rooster, but it turned out that chick was a both and my family gave it to a friend
