XD That's part of raising animals! Those look like BBW(broad breasted whites) and I can see how they would be messier. Get a heritage breed sometime and you'll see why we like 'm! They're very funny and active and follow you around wherever you go. BBWs just kinda sit there from what I've read.

K, we've always had the BBW, so I'm not to familiar with any other breeds.

I raised BBB's this year, I don't think I'll do BB's agian, we lost 13 of 16 all within a week of each other. But the three that survived are really good at foraging.

Have you ever done anything else? I'd encourage you to as heritage breeds are much hardier and funner to raise!

I want too! I'm hoping to get some next year. Are they only good for meat or do they lay?

No these were our first (they were supposed to make us rich at thanksgiving but they all died. :/ I have three on my list that I'd love to try, bourbon red, royal Palm and narragansett
