I have had some Australorps with white spots on the tops of their heads also, It is more difficult with hatchery chicks because they do not conform to breed standards.

Also Ideal Poultry's Facebook page has an album with 86 different breeds of chicks, it makes it easier to ID them if the pictures are all together.

Also check the combs, it will become more obvious what breeds they are once you narrow it down with the combs, leg color and clean or feathered legs.

This is my first time ordering chicks online. I ordered from Ideal and my fuzzies should be here in a few days. What happens when you have DOAs? Will they give you others or is it just a loss?

Ideal usually refunds if it is under 5 and over they reship, but there will be packing peanuts.
