Oh there's definitely a lot people that hate me on this website!I like it.
A lot of people may hate you but that's their tender thin skin's problem.
Well this is a meat bird section...Ok... I hate to be "that one", but I kinda find this insensitive, and not valuing life at all... I know it's "just a chicken" , and I don't mind people eating them, but joking about their death just seems pretty sad to me...
I agree with you! I just don't think life and death should be made a joke... It is a pretty big sacrifice that animals pay to feed us, and I believe they should be treated with a due amount of respect...I like it.

I really believe people should consider that in the US alone, 9 billion chickens are slaughtered each year. That's nearly 25 million per day. Over 50 billion annually worldwide. That's 137 million a day. At least 98% of them are confined from hatch to slaughter.
That number doesn't include the over 300 million male chicks ground up alive for animal feed because in the egg industry, males don't lay eggs.
Pet people likely block out this information but those with dogs and cats contribute to those numbers when they buy dog and cat food containing chicken. If the food is salmon, lamb, beef, elk, etc. based, animals still die to feed pets.
At least the birds the OP wants to take off the hands of those who can't keep them have lived a much better life up to the point they were no longer needed.
