Thermometor question

Does any one else have a problem with their thermometor.
We have 3 incubators with 3 different thermometors in them.
If you switch the trermometors around we get differnt temp readings. They are up to 3 degrees off with each one.

Yea there bad about that. I use a oral thermometer to check mine with. Cheep an usually accurate.

I've done that also and a digital thermometer which is an alltogether different reading.

What does everyone use instead of these that come with the bator?

I have found that having two to three thermomenters in the bator is good and do an average. One came with the incubator, one scientific meter, and one digital.

Although I haven't used it yet, the #3018 Thermometer/Hygrometer from GQF Mfg. comes HIGHLY PRAISED. If I recall correctly, the price is $21.50 plus shipping.

Everyone has said that it is VERY ACCURATE!

We presummed that they came accurate and lost our first quail aggs becauce the temp was only 95 when it was reading 99.5 . I think it will be worth the extra $ to have a better guage of temp

THIS is the thermometer/Hygrometer that I was referring to:

It is NOT the thermometer that is furnished with the Hovabator, but IS, I believe, the thermometer furnished with the cabinet models.

I use the Accurate hygro/therm from Walmart. Runs about $7 and works really well. This is the only one I use.
