Thermostat went out in the bator...

Of course it had to be the one my duck eggs are in! The temp was only 82 degrees when I noticed it. These were at days 10 and 8, do they have any chance?

Yes do you have another bator to put them in....they should do fine......Hopefully you have another bator or thermostat to fix that one...eggs should be fine though

the mommies get off all the time to take baths and eat and drink so they should be fine....you will love the cayugas. I have 4 ducks and two drakes and they are a really sweet bird and does not fly or make a rackett of noise...I have one currently laying and just hatched one baby out.....good luck with them.....I hope they hatch fine but i really believe they will do fine even if they were cool....

Oh, I hope so! I have only one pair right now, so these are to build up my flock. The pekins also. I have two pair of those, and two brand new babies that hatched just the other day. My cayugas are still somewhat young, but the older they get, the greener they get. My drake is just beautiful! I really hope these are ok. Because of the goose egg, I have to let them cool for 15 minutes a day. The temp drops to around 80 when I do that, and I'm thinking it never picked the temp back up after that last night.

just curious where did you got them from.....Well i sure they hatch...i am sure they will....Yes i love the green in my drakes too.....My two drakes are both from different bloodlines....well let me know how they do and when are they due?

The pekins were from JMajors, and they were on day 10 yesterday. The cayugas were from BackSwampGirl, and they were on day 8 yesterday.

If the temp did kill them, I won't be able to tell til at least tomorrow right?
