it is working. I am wondering what other things u can do to keep it in between 99 and 102.

it is turning off and on now. The problem is the big tempeture swings. I will go to like 105 then go to 88. I have thermostat next to the light.

What wattage is the bulb? And where are you measuring the temp?

I have a single pole water heater thermostat that I got at Home Depot. With a 25 watt bulb I was getting as low as 95 and as high as 108, but when I tested internal temp with medical thermometer and modeling clay I was getting a temp of 93. I put in a 34w(whatever happend to 40w bulbs?) bulb and now my low temp is 99 and high is 106. My internal temp stays between 99.5 and 99.9.
