I bought the thermostat for home depot. The cheapest one. It turns off the light but will now turn it back one. Could somebody help me with the wiring of my incubator.

You've got 2 wires coming out of the wall. Pick 1 wire it does not matter which one you pick. Cut that wire in half, put one end of the wire to one terminal. Put the other side of the wire to the other terminal. Hook the other end of that wire to you'r light. Put the other wire to the other side of the light. As the heat builds up to where you have the thermostat set. The light will go out. When the heat goes down, the thermostat will turn the light back on. If that does not work, take the thermostat back and get another one.
Hope this helps 4est

It shuts off but lt will not turn back on. I have it set on a metla junction box with the cover on it. it is one the floor of the bator. I am wondering why it will not turn back on.

There is a 6 to 10 degree window of turning on and off. You can shorten this cycle by moving it closer to the heat source.

i will try that right now

I don't know, but anything is possible, most places will take them back without question. I use the lower half of a dual HWT, it is the cheapest one. So far mine work fine, I use one for a hatcher, and use 2 in my LGs as safety cutouts. No problems yet, but the stores would not carry them if they didn't go bad.
