Ya, some of mine had poor barring like that, but that’s what you get with hatcheries. BRs

They remind me of my first chickens in 1993. In my batch of BRs we had whitey & partial whitey one had a lot of white & one had a white chest & then we had our pet "Brownie" on had a slight brown tinge to her black feathers. They were great girls & laid a lot of eggs!

That's good to hear. We've had 3 other batches of barreds in our chicken years but they are all pretty similar

It could very well be hatchery quality barring, but they also look like they could be barred Rock mixes. They're gorgeous either way.
