These Rangers are great!

I'm going to process some of mine Thursday at 11 weeks old. I'll let you know what my results were, but my guess is that most of the roos will be 4-5 lbs. I'll hold back the hens for another week or two as I will not need their hoop house for a few more weeks.

The CRB's are simply the best choice for small & backyard producers of broilers. They are more economically for me, and I can angle the Label Rouge angle for great marketing. I sell 50 birds in the first day I bring them to market with limiting customers to 3 each.

It's so great to see birds on the grass with actual feathers and displaying natural chicken behavior.

Oh thank you.... I forgot I saw that name on the ???(forgot our sponsor's name) site. Seems most people drop the 'colored' part when they talk about them in posts.

I plan to try those at some point. Maybe in the Spring. But I don't want a huge number of them the first time, so I will have to find someone in Western Washington between the coast and Olympia to share an order with. Would that be you Greyfields???

I just looked at your website Greyfields. Puget Island. I used to go sailboat camping on many of the islands in your back yard on the Columbia. One of our favorites was to pull in the center of Crimms (or Grimms as some call it) and the other island beside it. We could get in to the area that is only a couple of feet deep and camp because we had a center board that raised. We spent the time watching the herds of cows, the eagles and the Grass carp that call the island and surrounds home. Such an ideal place to while away the hours.

I miss it so much.

My B-friend of the time moored his boat at the Kerry Marina in the Westport Oregon slew (By the other side of the ferry run).
