These 2 chickens are seeking asylum in my yard... I'm just curious about the breed. I'm pretty sure they're both roos. They have green legs like an EE but look how long they are... plus I really don't think my neighbor is worried about pretty colored eggs.

My neighbor doesn't keep his chickens as pets... and they have never socialized with people. They let me get pretty close when I threw down a bunch of food, but they seemed pretty skittish.

He has told me in the past that they're Lacy's? I'm assuming that's a nick name for SLWs? Could they be a SLW/ modern game cross?

They are neat. Have they decided to live at your house instead of his?

edited to say, I thought games too but don't know too much about them.

I don't think they're living here... they come over to eat and roost in the trees between our properties. He keeps ALOT of birds... mostly roos... (yes, I've called the authorities) It was one of his hens that was laying eggs in my dog house (of all places) that got me turned on to having my own chickens and brought me here to BYC. I'd love to keep these guys, but I have 2 roos already. I'll give them a snack and let them hang out with us and hope... that's all I can do.

Too sad

They are really cool looking! Some sort of game cross would be my guess.

ETA: Maybe you could catch them and find them a permanent good home

That would be ideal... sadly it would never end, and I don't have a place to keep them seperate from my birds for quarentine purposes... Maybe they'll just move into my trees and never go back... we shall see.
