They are HATCCHIIINGGG!!!!

Well, I'm going to sleep until a hot-flash strikes me and then I'll getup, turn the tv on to check the cows and then I'll check for chicks. I'm tired. We had 15 calves yesterday, 8 calves and 1 chick today and an ice storm starting tonight. All I can say is that a hot-flash better happen at the right time.

Wow. It is 1230am and sissy my chihuahua is all hyper cause she hears the hatching egg and some chirping. She is very protective when they do hatch. Lol. Curiosity. I am video taping it hoping to get some chirping on video

I have four more eggs that have pipped. One has a hole. Iguess the one that hatched got the others going. So far i have one leghorn. ..

Leave the shell stuck to him until it looks dry and if it doesn't look fall off by then cut it off near the shell. That is the umbilical cord.

Most of the shell fell off except for a small piece. He looks soo cute i just want to hold him. Lol. But i know better. I got five more eggs hatching. 9 others didnt start yet when i was home. Lol

So for out of 35 RIR eggs 7 havn't started anything, 2 have pipping going on, and the rest of them have hatched. at noon today is 21 days to the hour. this is my first time and with a home made incubator.

Wow that is a great ratio.
I have a chick with something on his rear. I had the same problem last year. I put a cream on it but it never went away. Here is the pic from a few min ago
