how much longer intill they hatch? i came home from school and they were peeping like crazy now i think they are takeing a nap lol

Once you hear the peepn, they normally externally pip within 12-24 hours. Then when they externally pip it can take up to 24hrs to zip. They are so slow when we are super excited. I had 3 bantams hatch over the weekend. It took them 16 hours to zip after they externally pipped, but they zipped within 15-20min. Good Luck

I have a girl who is at day 20, I think this waiting for something is like pacing the halls at the hospital or waiting for a phone call....well actually it is like watching a pot of water for it to boil...seems like it takes forever and then usually happens when you look away or get distracted with something else.

I didn't turn my heat lamp on until the first one actually hatched. It was in the bator for about 24 hours before the others hatched, so I had plenty of time to get the brooder ready.

Oh And they do stop and rest sometimes for a long time peep peck rest .. nothing peck rest ... Its hard work
