A hen isn't a hen until one year of age...before that she's a pullet. She is a hen but not sure if she's started laying yet.
If she's not laying she may not want to submit....or she's juts feisty.

I actually think she is laying now. I found a light colored egg in the nesting box yesterday that I know doesn't belong to our Wyandottes or Sex links as I compared it to their eggs.A hen isn't a hen until one year of age...before that she's a pullet.

She still might not want to submit to him.I actually think she is laying now.
I don't want her to submit to him though as I'll be keeping our current standard size girls in a different yard from him. Once our 4 chicks/pullets are old enough, they'll be put with him. Our current standard girls really want to kill him so I don't want them with him.She still might not want to submit to him.

Then keep them separated.I don't want her to submit to him though as I'll be keeping our current standard size girls in a different yard from him.
