They grow so fast

Sounds like they are doing a great job at training you! But seriously, they do love to scare the heebie-jeebies out of you just to see you come running. They laugh at our expense I'm sure!

I really feel like it! I told my husband it's like when our kids were little all over again! And since we've had them (again, a week), I've upgraded the brooder twice and switched from a heat lamp to a plate, all in the name of making things perfect for them, lol.

I was just thinking how quickly they grow. I just hatched these Peachicks and now they are 16 days old. (First timer with peafowl… I am not sure how much longer their current crate will be sufficient before moving to larger one. And yes, they are in our room for now.

Yes…on the headboard . Hard to believe but these guys hatch with flight feathers and started doing short little hoppy flights at 4 days old! They can now fly to my shoulders and then go to the top of my head. Not sure how this will work as they get bigger

They're absolutely adorable, and peafowl are some of the most beautiful birds when grown. There is someone around me that breeds them, and one time, my husband was headed to work and had stop to let one cross the road. He said it was way too early and he hadn't finished his coffee yet, and suddenly, a big male peacock just walked out in front of him like it owned the place. He said he literally said out loud, to himself, "that's a peacock."
