THEY HAVE SHIPPED!

I love looking at all the baby chick pictures. They are just to dang adorable. I'm sending good and healthy chickie thoughts to everyone who had an order that shipped today. Here is to all the chicks arriving healthy!

Mine state they have been shipped, but the USPS tracking notification states the Post Office hasn't even scanned them in yet in Ohio. I am worried sick (especially since the last batch was DOA and it is going to be in the 90's today). I wish the USPS would scan them and send them on!

I know what you mean. It shows mine as being scanned in mannsfield and the shipment being accepted but nothing other than that. Its so nerve wracking especially since you know they are live animals. Im honestly surprised with how well people buying chicks online does that someone else doesnt pick up shipping them like UPS or something.

Mine haven't even been scanned in Mannsfield yet... it is driving me batty. It still says "pre-shipment notification," which means that Meyer has notified the post office that they are going to ship, but means the post office hasn't even scanned them in yet! So they may not even have the chicks yet. It is making me crazy. If we didn't have such a horrible experience last week with all dead, I wouldn't be as worried. But this is just crazy.. last week, they were already in Buffalo by this time of day!

Sorry to hear that. I think that USPS is really lacking this year. Of course I'm not making anything better by reading the horror stories around the web about them and shipping chicks. If it helps any though from what I read I guess the post office is lazy about scanning. Hoping they are on their way to you and not sitting somewhere neglected.

I am trying not to lose my mind. :( I just want my baby chicks. If these don't make it, we are asking for a refund. Twice in a row is more than I can bear.

Keep good thoughts flowing. Hopefully they will all arrive safe and sound. It's a wonder that USPS hasn't gotten into any sort of trouble with not shipping these chicks fast enough. I mean you would think that if they had half a brain they would do all they could to ensure the safe arrival of the little ones. If I had known how close this place really was to me I would've picked up my order, but I didn't bother looking that up until it had already shipped.

Leah has it shown anything yet? I'm starting to get anxious for you.

Still nothing. But I did a "live chat" with Meyer and the person was very helpful. They sent the chicks Express and not just Priority. They think the tracking is just delayed.. they said it can take 24-48 hours for the tracking info to get updated, so I might get the info that they have been scanned at the point-of-origin AFTER I get the chicks. The customer service rep did say that they have definitely left the Meyer facility and they have accounted for weather and they rarely have losses (so my losses last week were unusual) - very anxious and waiting for a phone call, even if the USPS tracking system doesn't show any activity.

Mine also show as accepted in Mansfield yesterday afternoon, but nothing else. I'm wondering if I should call my PO or will they call me when they get there? Tracking says that they will arrive at noon today. I hope everyone gets their chicks safe and sound and soon!
