THEY HAVE SHIPPED!

Mine also show as accepted in Mansfield yesterday afternoon, but nothing else. I'm wondering if I should call my PO or will they call me when they get there? Tracking says that they will arrive at noon today. I hope everyone gets their chicks safe and sound and soon!
I called our local PO to tell them to expect chicks and to give me a call as soon as they arrived... I did this last week and they were very good about it. They called the second the chicks arrived and I was able to get to them within 10 minutes of their arrival (they were DOA, but still... I was grateful our local PO was caring).

Leah thats good to hear. Still keeping my fingers crossed. Kattington I think most post offices will call when they get your chicks. It's always recommended that you call ahead of time however and let them know you are expecting them. I just checked my tracking it says they were in Albany this morning so they are almost here! Hoping to have them today if not today it should definitely be tomorrow. Still so nerve wracking.

I just got the notification they just left Buffalo at 7:56 am!! They just never scanned them at the point of origin. Crazy! But that means we will have our chicks today. One thing less to worry about... now just hoping for live, healthy chicks when they make it to Jamestown!

Yay that's so good to hear Leah. Please keep us updated. Petrel the post office tracking certainly is maddening. I know with mine they showed them arriving in Mannsfield and then nothing else until their arrival and then departure in Albany. I am hoping that since they left Albany at 8:40 this morning I will see them before my post office closes today. Not getting my hopes up to much for that though.

I hope yours arrive before the PO closes! We're about 90 minutes from Buffalo, so I hope they call soon. VERY soon. Seriously, I never thought I'd be so anxious about the mail!

I know right. I have my DH going to get the mail at 11:30 in case they forget to call. We are only about 40 minutes from Albany, but I have no idea where else they stop so I'm hoping for them today but I'm not going to get my hopes up. I hate the cuts that the post office has been going through. Mine used to be open until like 3 in the afternoon. Now it closes at noon. Keep me updated with your babies Leah. Still hoping for safe and sound chickies.

No call yet, but I keep refreshing the tracking page like crazy. Totally neurotic, I know. I have the brooder light on and the chickie gatorade made. Going to make a mash of some starter feed, too.

I know how you feel. I keep checking the page every five minutes even though I know its not changing. Going to go get my brooder set up and ready. I almost squealed in excitement this morning when I saw that they had updated the tracking info. Then I remembered everyone was sleeping. I was just telling my DH yesterday that we needed to get another bag of starter feed. A 50lb bag lasted us about a month with the five girls we do have. It still has like a quarter of the bag left. I was expecting to go through it way faster then I did. But I guess with adding 6 new babies it will probably go faster. Yay for chickies almost being here!

Still keeping fingers crossed on safe deliveries of them.

Still refreshing the tracking and waiting by the phone. My six (almost 7) year old is very anxious and excited, too. He knows they don't always make it, so he is worried like I am. THe tracking number just now updated the Ohio point-of-origin and Cleveland stops. Crazy, since they updated the Buffalo departure first! LOL But at least they are on their way!
