Nice...Only suggestion is to remove all the shavings because that will become a wet Stinky mess in no time. Sand as a ground cover and rake it every few days is better to keep the flies away..Shavings only in the house is needed..
I would rake that all up and rebag the shavings for use later on. They will be fine on dirt till you get the sand..We've been deliberating on that. We spread the shavings because right now the underlying layer is dry, dead fill dirt. I didn't want it to turn to straight mud, but also realized that the shavings probably weren't going to be the best long term solution. Sand sounds like a great idea!
They usually spend about 30min a day swimming, so we've kept the waterer in the house/box with them to cut down the mess. They'll have a wire shielded bucket in the pen when we finish todayDefinitely need to dunk heads to clean nares and eyes..
Water in the house isn't a good idea. I would put the water in a far corner of the Run and Ducks love noodling and drilling in mud. They usually spend about 30min a day swimming, so we've kept the waterer in the house/box with them to cut down the mess. They'll have a wire shielded bucket in the pen when we finish today
