Chookies love to garden. Why are you so ungrateful for all their hard work?
The only plants our chookies never help with is Pineapple and a tough old Passionfruit vine.
They even helped me repot my Bougainvillea! I said thank you like a properly trained hooman.

So far they havent touched the nightshade, so at least they know that much.

My girls helped me by pulling out the flowers from my pots. In all fairness the pots are on the ground in "their garden ". They know how much I love planting so they had me do it again. The flowers did not appreciate it and died. Gotta love chickens.

Chickens are pretty smart. They know nightshade plants will make them sick, if not kill them.

Cook the mangled garlic with the chicken-whoever the ringleader is-and eat it in front of them. Problem deliciously solved.

LOVE the idea, the only problem is, then I'll have the Cockatoo screaming because HE wants some chicken too ! He had a fit the other day when i cooked a steak and didn't cut some off for HIM to have. I can't win here !

Edit: let me also add, I bet half the cockatoo's appetite would be out of vengeance too as he HATES it when I go snuggle or ruffle up a chicken and NOT him. I'll show you for stealing my hooman you garlic smelling witch !!
