Both of my chicken eggs pipped today. It is day 20 and they are still rocking and I can hear the birds peeping. It doesn't seem like they are making and progress towards breaking the shell anymore(zipping). Is this bad or are they just taking their time??

Just wait they'll be fine. It takes a lot of work for them to externally pip. They can take up to 48 hours to actually zip out of the shell. Usually it's less than 12 hours though.

If they have already externally pipped then they could very well go tonight if everything is ready. Then again they could take their jolly old time too.

Chick hatching can be very nerve racking! Some chicks may pip and zip in just a few hours, some may take well over a day. What is important is letting them wait until they are ready.
