I didn't know there are black ameraucanas so I may have to eat my words, but I would be so happy! Here are more pics if this helps, I'm not sure about the comb? I am a newbie at all this, but I can look tomorrow when it is daylight.I can't quite tell which comb type the chick in the pics has. @TJE , what comb type does your chick have?

Wow, this is great, thank you! Here are a couple of pics I took this morning of my 4 week old black chick. I think it's a pea comb??View attachment 2339536
Here are some different comb types. Your chicken almost definitely doesn't have a buttercup, carnation, strawberry, walnut, cushion, or V comb. when coming in, a single comb will look like a super duper tiny version of the combs pictured, while a rose or pea comb will just look mostly flat with little raised bumps. Which do you think your chicken has?
Thank you for responding! If it's a male, I will be bummed because I would have to get rid of it, darn! How can you tell it's EE and what are the traits you see that are male? I really appreciate your input. It's a male Easter Egger.
It does look like a pea comb. It is either a black ameraucana or an easter egger.Wow, this is great, thank you! Here are a couple of pics I took this morning of my 4 week old black chick. I think it's a pea comb??
