They stopped laying in the nest box?

Well Chicken Spankings, Timeout Roosts, and Washing their beeks out with soap NEVER Work! Ha

Try putting some golf balls in your nests. Aslo make sure that your nest boxes are in the 9'' to 12'' "square-ish" size to help them be inclined to lay in them. And lastly make sure they can easily access the boxes (not to high up the coop wall).

Hopefully this helps. And gives you a smile about "rasing chickens".
 
Yes, the boxes are attached to the coop at just a few inches from floor level. They do have a slopIng roof too. I'm going to try the gol balls and see if that helps.

This sounds a little nutty but mine started doing this the other week. I made them privacy curtains for the front... they kept trying to lay eggs in my falling down barn which is dark and I figured they wanted more privacy. Ever since I put the curtains in, no problem.
