they want me to cut my ducks toes off!!!!! UPDATE!!!!

Ok so I got my Game birds breeders licence and part of having it in NY state is that I must for identification purposes cut the back toe off of the right foot of everyone of my ducks.

I called to see if there was a way out of this and the guy said it was the law and that I must obey it, but then he called back and said that he was going to look into it further. I am hoping they will let me tag them in some other way.

I dont wannna do it

My runners barely trust me as is and now I have to mutilate each one! I dont know if I can, I am praying there is some other solution.

I think this only applies to varieties of ducks controlled by the permit. It would not include Runners.

oh my god! i'd fight that the best i could. i would never allow anyone to cut my ducks toes off, unless it was needed, such as an infection or injury. hopefully there will be another way, if not, i say fight it.
