If omelot is a rooster he may start teaching them to go to bed. I you have them outside, he may soon start teaching them to hide from bird shadows and noises.

We live near a small airport. When a plane flew over last night they all froze. They didn't show much interest in the bats though when they came out at dusk.

I suggest meal worms, cold English peas or snow or sweet peas for sure since it’s so hot. Mine keel over for these and carrot tops, cucumbers. They will walk a mile for all these. Especially mealworms. Even the red bag they come in. They have learned what that is.

Everyone says that about mealworms, but my chicks can take or leave them -- mostly leave them.

Well that’s okay because the fewer of those they eat the better when they do crave them. They have to be given in moderation as a treat. Anything green is always great though and just about can be given without really any limitations.
