Everything started happening around 2:00 this morning....out of 11 eggs, we have 4 chicks with 2 more about to hatch any minute...here's a pic of the first 3. These are suppose to be Barred Rock chicks (being hatched by a Golden Comet). From their heads, can anyone give any advise as to the sex of the birds. I'm thinking 2 boys and 1 girl. As I understand it, boys have a light patch on their head while the girls have a completely dark head...is this right or do I have it backwards....thanks...

I believe it is that girls have a distinct white patch, while the white is more diffuse on the boys.
