What's faster than a speeding bullet? A quail chick!!! Man these little buggers are fast!!!! First time hatching quail and they are adorable!!! I can't find any gamebird starter. Can I grind up chick starter for tonight? If not....what to do???

I've done that a few times with no adverse affects that I've noticed. Just make sure that they don't get much medicated chick starter, it can make the males sterile.

Yes you can do that, and it's preferable to feeding them nothing.

Get you some GBS ASAP. They do better on it

Chick starter (non medicated) is all I feed mine even the adults.
