Dh's order of 25 Americauna chicks arrived this morning all safe and sound from Meyer Hatchery. Those little puffy faces are soo cute!! Already they are playing in their sandbox!

Wow! Nice color mix! My university offers these as eggs for hatching. I think maybe I should consider these. Congrats!
 
Thanks everyone! We're excited!

Slystr, I put a pan of loose dirt mixed with sand in with the chicks. This gives them something to play in, they learn to dust bathe (which one was doing this evening) and if they need extra grit, it's there. They've had a ball in it today. I did take it out tonight when I saw they were eating it so they won't get impacted. I'll put it back tomorrow.
