And only one DOA!!!!

Their big sisters are clamoring at the edge of their brooder to get a peak at them. They can hear them; giggles!

Ok, so hubby says he is going to complete the coop this weekend. I will move the 8 big sisters into coop; split up the 19 chicks between the two brooders (for four weeks) at which time they will all go to coop. Phew, sounds like a plan.

Looking at the two flocks side-by-side I can r e a l l y see how the first girls have grown. So, what I have are:

  • dark brahma
  • welsummer
  • maran
  • dixie rainbow
Now if only I knew who was whom :love . They're a noisy lil bunch for now. I don't mind; at least I know they are alright. A few under the heat plate; most out and about. Hatched Wed., 8/3/2022.

Congrates! I love brooding baby chicks! What are dixie rainbows?

Oh how exciting!!!! I’m sorry one didn’t make it when it got there! Which one was it?? They are so cute!

On a side note, I add to my little chicks I got and I got call duckies! I couldn’t resist and my husband is in the mood to build so took advantage of it. 😂
