They're scared but keep following me(Cockerels)

OK- you also mentioned also that you plan to hatch eggs fertilized by your roos. What is your plan for the male chicks? It's completely possible to have 1 girl and 8 boys … 2 girls, 6 boys … 1 girl, 3 boys --- yep- all those happened to me -- they add up quickly... and homes for roos can be hard to come by.

Some do start a rooster flock, i.e. all boys.
I plan on selling straight run chicks and intending to not take any back. I don't care if I end up selling too many boys to people.

I've begun to notice that our 3 cockerels will follow me around the yard but every time I face them, they run away to hide. I do pick them up and will carry them around because I love them.
They're 12 week old Bantam Polish, in case anyone was wondering.

What is this behavior?
Why are they doing this?
Should I be concerned?
The only time I have seen rooster follow you is in an act of aggression. There is usually one that becomes the dominant rooster. I have a flock of seven brothers and one will follow me until he gets the nerve to try and scratch me. When I turn around they all scatter and the dominant one just watches me. Watch for aggression. I am not saying it will happen but might.
