I just pulled one of the plugs because it's at 82 and there's water droplets on the windows. You can even go a bit lower
I do 45 for incubating and 65-75 for hatching. I find the 70-75 best as babies jump it up while hatching
Thanks! So far five darker looking ducklings and one yellow. I know nothing about the color genetics. Supposedly Metzner breeds black males with silver females and vice versa to produce blues. My blues have always been the broodiest and most consistent layers. The blues all lay green eggs. One of my fawn/white females lays green eggs.Congrats on your new littles..
I remove ducklings when they are up running around the batorI just pulled one of the plugs because it's at 82 and there's water droplets on the windows.
Should I separate the ducklings from the eggs that are still pipped and waiting to zip?
The plugs or the ducklings?I remove ducklings when they are up running around the bator
Both plugs can come out
At hatch time it’s very important to remove them
