i was trying to let my quails go broody but with 14 eggs she did not yet sit on them..so i collected all the egg and was planning to scrambled them..but when i cracked some eggs there was a thin strain of blood on the yolk what could this be?? is it they were sitting on the eggs? or the hot temperature did it?

Can you post pictures? How old are the eggs?
i already scrambled them i think the oldest egg would be 14 days old since she was alone with the rooster(they live very well together and my rooster is very kind to my hens anyway)

How hot has it been in your area recently? Where I live, a normal Summer or Spring day is enough to start incubating eggs. A hot Summer day though, that's enough to cook them!
the hottest day is only around 32 degree celcius but as my quails are in a coop i give them incandecwnt light bulb the whole day and the temperature inside the coop might be a bit higher and i switch off the light when it's night time though

My actual guess would be a blood spot.. See following link..
Common egg quality problems BYC

The other consideration.. if it had started developing (which I don't think so, did they sleep on the nest) would be a blood ring that goes around the outside I think it would be in the white not on the yolk.. indicates an embryo early death.

I usually feed eggs that have been left in the incubator.. back to the animals.. I used to scramble them, sometimes now boiled and smashed.. Once I misread the candling and accidentally had an eye looking at me when I cracked the egg open. :sick

If ambient temperature.. they should be safe for human consumption, if there were no crack allowing for bacteria to enter.. I mean.. some locations they eat what's known as balut eggs.. basically full term unhatched embryos though I am unsure of their preparation method. :)
