Thin shelled eggs from only one hen

One of my hens has been laying very thin shelled eggs for a few months. They often break in the nesting box, or when we pick them up. They're also a much lighter color than normal (almost white - They're normally brown). She's a little over a year old. We feed the Texas Natural layer pellets; which are a high quality, expensive, calcium supplemented feed, and I recently added an offering of oyster shells. My other 3 hens lay great eggs. They all free-range in our suburban backyard most days.

Any ideas on how to fix the issue?

Welcome to BYC.
The recently added oyster shell should fix this, give it some time.

I started giving oyster shell three weeks ago. Also, I forgot to mention that the Texas Natural feed includes a calcium supplement already (edited OP).

Have you noticed this bird in particular eating the oyster shell lately?

Do you see your exact feed on this sheet? Are you feeding the Elite feed?

If only one bird in a flock is laying 'bad' eggs, it's the bird and not the diet.
Why it's happening and if you can 'fix' it can be very hard to determine.
I am of the opinion that it generally can't be fixed,
it's a defective shell gland or a malfunction in overall nutrient uptake.

@KikisGirls I guess I haven't seen her, in particular eating the oyster shell.
The bag doesn't seem to say "elite" anywhere, but it has a nutrition label attached that says Calcium (min-max) is 3.0% - 3.5%.

@aart That is some unfortunate news. I don't mind not getting eggs from her, but having her keep laying broken eggs in the nest is messy! And I don't think my kids will let me entertain the idea of getting rid of her. Although I wouldn't know how to get rid of her anyway...

She only started laying the thin-shelled eggs a few months ago (when winter ended, I guess). I hope they improve.
