I personally don't use medicated, but I don't have problems with cocidiosis. I'm unsure if the medication gets passed in the eggs, I would switch to a non medicated to be safe.

It depends on whether you want Amprolium in your diet. I've never used medicated. Never had issues with coccidiosis. Get my chicks exposed to the cocci in my soil within the first 2 weeks of hatch. You can feed a multi flock, or starter to the whole flock as long as you provide calcium on the side for layers. They will self regulate their calcium intake.I have several different age groups and I'm feeding medicated starter/grower all in one. I just got my first egg today. It had a nice hard shell on it. I am so happy. My point is, I'm still feeding starter/grower, medicated at that, due to having so many different age groups in together. I'm hoping it's ok to do, because I really can't do it any differently until they all get older.
