Things I just don't get

I confess, I rarely eat sweets like that anymore, though. I'm more of a lemon fan or a caramel fan than a chocolate fan when I do.

I thought the "Things I don't get" was a great idea for a thread. Once you mentioned brownies, though, this thread had a life of it's own. It became the brownie thread.

The power of brownies... It's like what happens when bacon is mentioned in a thread.

Now I'm thinking if I ever have to participate in a social occasion that might have some tension, I should casually mention brownies and bacon during the conversations! If at all possible, I should bring brownies and bacon!

I think if you deep fried the brownie mix, by the spoonful, you wouldn't end up with all that yucky soft middle.

Well, I don't purchase brownie baking boxes often, but if you look at them, there are usually some advertised as being chewey, some as being more cake-like (actually uses differeent terminology, but that is how I interpret it), some with icing, some with nuts, some ...

Different people have different preferences. I do not want cake-like or iced brownies--if that is what you want, get chocolate cake (UGH--can't stand it). IMO, a brownie needs to be a lot closer to candy than to cake.

There are just too many things to list. Like why would anybody buy canned goods from China at the dollar store, or why my husband can't see the laundry basket 2 feet from his clothes on the floor, or what is the fuss about brownies or chocolate

I dislike both!
