What do irritating relatives do?!?

She tells DBF, who has been searching for a job for MONTHS, that "I have so many job offers I don't know what to do... and I'm retired!!".

She's a rotten witch. She was going on & on to me (this is my aunt) about the 15-bean soup she'd made for her dad (he's 90). I smiled and said, "Only 15? You're stingy, aren't you." She didn't think it was funny.

I didn't even know at that time that she'd been so thoughtless to DBF.

She brought a potato salad from Costco and tried to pass it off as her own. We all knew the truth.

Good grief, I keep looking at topics that interest me and the same people are there before me! Kind of a Twilight Zone feeling!

Allow me to say, please, that I thoroughly enjoy the conversations that you "veterans" have, and I giggle a lot! And I am NOT tagging along as in "stalking"!

I managed to make both sisters mad right before Christmas, so it was just DH and me- what a relief. Next year, same old same old, us traveling. They won't come to my ancient farmhouse, because it too "rustic". Oh puleeeze....

BTW, EllyMae, you are now forever associated with sugar cookies, in my mind. Come on over, I make good cookies!

My mom spent like 2 weeks making cookies and then only had 2 kinds out for us today! I wanted the chocolate chip cookies... the lemon coconut... the peppermint pinwheels... and whatever else she had!!

This aunt is the same one who gave me tester bottles of perfume (she used to manage the cosmetics counter for a local department store) for gifts. Ummm... thanks... just what I always wanted as a teenager: some perfume for old ladies. I've pretty much given up on her.

OH! And the card she sent to my parents - her SISTER-in law!! - had the last name misspelled!! My parents have been married for 36 years.

The card she sent me was spelled correctly. What a shallow dummy. I don't spend any more time than I have to with this woman.

Well ya'll are giving me alot to look forward too.....we are having the family over on Saturday. Hopefully it will all go smoothly. I always upset my SIL. She thinks we are trash. That I have too many animals. My house is too small. And we watch things on TV that she doesn't allow her 11yr old son to watch. If it's not the Cosby Show or the Brady's then he can't watch it. He saw an underwear comercial at our house and he freaked!! Started yelling that it was disgusting and covered his face. Boy is the real world gonna be hard for him........
