My finger. Paper towels and duct tape will keep your finger held together until you get to the ER.

I used to use Duct Tape alot. I thought Red Green pretty much said it all with his "carpe ductus". Then I discovered Gorilla Tape.

When I was first married, some 28 years ago, we lived in a small 10X50 mobile home. the bathroom had one of those small windows near the ceiling. Well, this window had a crack in it, so to keep the wind out I used duct tape. That's not what I taped though. I put a piece of cardboard up to cover the window. i was going to duct tape it. I pulled a small strip of tape off the roll and pulled it in half, leaving two narrow strips. I then held the cardboard over the window, put one piece of tape in my mouth and put the other one the cardboard. When I was ready for the second strip I retrieved it from my mouth along with a piece of skin off my lip. Studpi and painful!!!

I was thinking the same thing- Back in the sixties and seventies- My dad's old cars and trucks were held together with bailing wire!! And he always kept a book of matches close by in case he had to file the points. I've also used wired coat hangers to tie up the mufflers on some of my old vehicles when they came loose!!

I cut my hand open real bad one time on a job site, I had to continue for a bit and that $@%&* er was bleeding like all get out. So I duck taped the heck out of it, it stopped the bleeding. But when I got to the ER the doc was laughing as he took the tape off, and it started to gush again. I do love me some duck tape.

My GGD was 2 in Aug, and has learned to climb out of her car seat, when my DGD took her to the dr the other day and told him, he actually said to duct tape her in the seat. Can you imagine the calls the police would get for them on child abuse.We're still trying to learn how to keep her in the seat. marrie
