Things I've duct-taped:

I taped a small hand rake to a long handle so I could rake eggs out of the dusty corners of the coop without crawling back there. (bad chickens!) It has been out in the weather for months. Every time I pick it up, some of the silver "tape" falls off of it. It is mostly just string and sticky, now.

Oh... battery door on the remote control. Who hasn't done that a thousand times?

mom'sfolly :

I was once on an Alaska Airlines flight where they were duct taping the wing. After much discussion in the passenger compartment, the captain announced they were fixing the plane with a special "aviation tape". Yeah, right!!! I know duct tape when I see it, and so did every Alaskan on that plane. We flew a good long way with the tape on the wing...I can't remember if it was Seattle to Juneau or Ketchican to Juneau, but it was a ways.....

I would have had to calmly get up and get into my carry on luggage:

1 for a clean pair of pants
2 for a dramamine to knock me out for the duration of the flight.

My husband taped a TV antenna to a ladder that way when we needed to get better reception he could just raise or lower the ladder. It's the Rednecks survival tool!

My son's band had a mike, but no mike stand (don't ask me why), so they duct taped our floor broom to a box of kitty litter and the mike to the top of the broom handle. Must say, they are a resourceful bunch!
