I think offering to help is such a mature thing to do! However, if she doesn't take you up on it and you think the chickens are in a cruel situation, I personally think you should talk with someone at your local animal control office about the situation. JMO

I agree... if she refuses your help, talk with someone who can use the law to get the point across to her that they need more room.

That is the greatest thing you could do for anyone, offer to help out. Ask her if she'd like to send a few home to lift the burden and atleast use chicken wire to make a larger "room" for them. Again, great thought, keep it up and your going to be a bonified hero! Woohooo!

well everyone i offered to help her and she accepted we built a 20x20 cage in the barn she told me she was too worried about theifs to build a run she paid me with 3 bags of laying mash and 20 dollers i told her to keep it but she refused

I have done something very similar. Sometimes, stealing the chicken is the only way to save the chicken unfortunately. How do you think I came up with my screen-name?

However, if you are willing to help build her a larger coop/run, by all means do that instead.
