Running late for work, shoot, forgot to open the pop door to the run. Have to be careful, dressed in white scrubs for work in medical office. Tiptoe into coop, wade through hens, open door, chickens go boiling out as usual. Take a second to fix knocked over feeder. Gingerly make way out of coop, through barn and back to car. Phew, quick inspection shows I made it out still clean. Get to work, horrified coworker screeches "What's THAT on the back of your pant leg?????" Look down, lovely brown chicken poop on the back of leg! And not just a little spot! How the HECK did they manage that in those few short seconds! Apparently I was deliberately shot at!
