Things to feed from home...

I also put most of my larger green waste (like tops of celery or carrots) into the food processor first. Then I put it on some chicken pellets in a bowl, cover in warm water to make a mash and feed it. Voila! They love it. I've found they won't eat the large pieces otherwise.

They also LOVE if you have an old pumpkin, just break it in half or quarters and throw it in the run.

They love it just don't feed it often (it has a lot of sodium and not a lot of good nutrients). Some of the "weirder" things mine have had: chili, leftover soup, leftover chicken or steak, french fries (you haven't lived till you've seen a full grown hen scarf down whole french fries), etc.

Also add frogs and mice to the list. Not from my hands, of course.

My girls have caught some mice the ventured into the outdoor run. Also, had a few trout in the freezer that we never cooked up. They had those too.

I did try smoked trout, they hated it. My brother does the smoking for a fish house and we get all the small pieces and crumbles. He usually drops off 10lbs at a time. How much smoked fish can you eat!
I really hate it at this point.
