Things you wish you could say

That my friends who want eggs would hurry up and pick them up! I am out of fridge space and with eggs running 5 and a half bucks a dozen nowadays you'd think they'd be more eager to bring a carton for some free eggs

I feel ya!
It's so difficult to get people to cooperate that we stopped even giving eggs away, except to our next door neighbors where we can just leave them on the porch.

If you ask them to return cartons it's like pulling teeth.
No one seems to understand that cartons cost money.
When our traveling mechanic came to work on the car yesterday, we just handed him a small amazon box with eggs stuffed in there. Hehe.

LThe mother of my godkids. They're all adults now, and only the daughter has any idea of how to do anything for herself.
I don't understand why any parent would not desire to put themselves out of the job of parenting (read: babying) their offspring at the earliest oppoortunity. We have 18 years to give them all the tools they need to live productive, independent lives. In some cultures historically children were considered adults at the age of 12!

Our school has always offered home ec but they call it different things now. Culinary arts, home improvement skills, sewing and crafting. This way, they are offering different classes for the same budget. My son signed up for Culinary Arts this next school year. He's very excited
Call it Bachelor Survival! 😆

All my notifications are so easy to find, and I can see that tag again from @BigBlueHen53 ... Sorry, everything has been hectic lately and it's easier to see new posts than ones I was already interested in.

It was about the chick occupying my hands. So umm, she wanted me to hold her and like a ditz I forgot the incubator was empty, probably because I'd just finished scrubbing and sanitizing it and was about to set more eggs. A few hours after my post it finally dawned on me to just stick her back in the incubator on some papertowel :th
(I swear I need brain vitamins lately).
But we had to put her down the next morning, she was just too weak. I probably shouldn't have helped her hatch but there's always hope, right?
The other 7 are happy and boisterous and enjoying their new brooder plate, and I like those 3 heat settings a LOT! I think I'm giving this a great review.

Now the incubator is stuffed with 48 eggs. Personal best stuffage of NR360. Yay.
Sorry you lost her, Roses. :hugs But yeah, ya gotta try.
